Privacy policy & disclosures

This page explains what happens to data when you use 2cycleoilmixcalculator.com, and discloses how the site earns money. Last reviewed 26 July 2026.

What we do not collect

There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no contact form on this site. We do not ask you for a name, an email address, a phone number or a payment method, and there is nowhere on the site to give us one.

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The gas amount, ratio and units you type are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Local storage on your device

The calculator saves your last inputs (fuel amount, units and mix ratio) in your browser's local storage under the key 2cyc-calc-v1, so the tool is still set the way you left it next time. That data stays on your device and is not readable by us.

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes it. The ratio and device landing pages deliberately do not write to that key, so opening one does not overwrite what you set on the home page.

Analytics

When analytics is enabled, this site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which device types are used. It is configured for reporting on the site as a whole, not for identifying individual people, and we do not combine it with any other data because we hold no other data.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising and third-party cookies

This site displays advertising served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this and other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com.

Users may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices, or optout.networkadvertising.org. Where required by law, advertising partners collect consent for these purposes through a consent prompt before personalised ads are served.

We do not control the cookies set by advertising partners, and we do not receive personally identifying information from them.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links to products on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Product mentions are editorial. A product is not listed because it pays a commission, and a commission never changes what a page recommends. Prices and availability at the destination are set by the retailer, not by us, and can change after this page was written.

Links to other sites

Pages here link out to manufacturer documentation, standards bodies and retailers. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy and their cookie practices. We are not responsible for the content or the data handling of external sites.

Children

This site is a reference tool for people operating petrol-powered equipment and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Your choices and contact

You can browse this site with cookies blocked or with an ad blocker enabled; the calculator, the charts and every article still work, because they are static pages and client-side arithmetic.

Questions about this policy, or a request related to data you believe we hold, can be sent to hello@2cycleoilmixcalculator.com. If this policy changes materially, the reviewed date at the top of this page changes with it.

Accuracy disclaimer

The calculator, the charts and the guidance on this site are provided for general information. Mix ratios vary by engine, model year and market, and the specification from your engine manufacturer or oil supplier always takes precedence over anything published here.

We take accuracy seriously and correct errors quickly, but we cannot accept liability for engine damage resulting from a mix. Check your manual.
